She’s a bit of a nervous horse, and this environment can really bring out the best in horses that are a little challenging mentally. It’s big country up here and a lot of trees and cool air in the evenings and such. She’s just so calm around the barn and in her training, and I think she’s able to reserve a lot of energy for the afternoons.”

Technical Analysis, a bay mare sired by the British stallion Klingman out of the Irish mare Sealife, displayed remarkable prowess from the No. 5 stall in the starting gate. She quickly took the lead and maintained a two-length advantage after the first quarter-mile on the inner turf course. Jockey Jose Ortiz skillfully guided her, and despite a brief challenge from Regal Realm, Technical Analysis pulled ahead comfortably for her seventh win in 14 starts, finishing the one-mile run in 1 minute, 33.98 seconds.
